The full-function remote control allows you to operate each feature from across the room. Unlike a fixed air conditioner unit, the Honeywell Portable Air Conditioner requires no permanent installation and the smooth-gliding caster wheels provide easy mobility from room to room. This portable air conditioner comes with everything needed including dual flexible exhaust hoses and an easy-to-install window venting kit. The window vent can be removed when the unit is not in use.
A: The 7500 BTU given is the new SACC (DOE 2107 Standard) BTU value. The "traditional" BTU value of the system is closer to 14,000. I am not a professional AC technician, but it seems that the lower number tries to take into account the fact that portable AC units usually have an inherent design flaw of pushing air outside of the house, causing negative pressure that result in air from outside finding its way in - reducing the effectiveness of the unit. However, I don't think this take into account the fact that this is a dual hose unit, which basically makes that problem go away. I think
A: It is 14000 BTU and runs off regular household current, 120vac. Your 3000 watt generator should have zero issues with running it. The max watts it draws is likely listed in the manufacturers specs. I personally would not hesitate to run it off such a generator. I would only hook it and 1 or 2 other items to the generator though.
