A:Answer The unit comes with 3 pieces that fit in the window when open. The main piece , where the hoses are attached, and 2 extension pieces.
The window opening i had was too wide for the piece that the hoses were connected too. One extension was too short and one too long. I solved it by cutting down the longer piece until it all fit snuggly into the window.
I do recommend, after seeing what parts are in the box, is going to the nearest hardware store and getting some foam weather seal, in a roll, to go around all 4 sides. This will provide a better seal.
I went one step further and after all was in place, I inserted small wood pieces to prevent the window from being opened from the outside.
I also caulked around the entire seam, after the weather seal and the window intake/outtake pieces were in place.
