Q: does this sync with the TV screen like the Philips Hue?
A: No. It only syncs with audio. There are other products that have a camera or light-sensor that's pointed at the screen to allow screen color sync. This one just pulses with the audio. The color is NOT synced with what's on the screen.
Q: Can these work on a 40 in tv
A: Yes. The light strips are segmented so they should fit great behind a 40in tv

Q: Dose this fits a 75 inch tv
A: I put the strips on my 55 inch tv. The Geek squad were wondering in setting it up.
A: This LED strip is 12 feet long so considering you need less than 3 feet, I would advise against these. You can run this as 1 strip, but if you have a microwave that is also used as an overhead fan for your stove then I would advise against doing that. Purchase 2 separate strips. You can also check out the Lifx 40" LED strip.
