Not the best movie to come from SNL......

I'll admit that while it's far fetched to expect non-speaking, no-dimensional characters from an (albeit popular) SNL sketch to support an entire movie for 90 minutes, you gotta give the makers credit for giving them a lot of further character development for said movie. Before the movie, we didn't no how they normally talked, their ethnicity, background, means, intelligence, etc., yet they became fleshed out for this movie, and everyone did a decent job making it. I always felt this movie was very under-rated, and if you forget ablut the sketch history and view it as a one-off, then it's really no worse than other popular movies of the day that had a similar sensibility. I still love this movie!
