Q: Can I use this to read outside or is only the paperwhite good for outside
A: I would not recommend it for outside reading. I read 4 books a week, and I can only use the paperwhite outside, even if sitting in the shade. I was looking to this model for larger print, and more of a "book" size page..................................although bigger, I just can't read this outside when I try to use my Hubby's. I would not recommend for outside reading!!

Q: How does one transfer files from one kindle to a new one?
A: Save all your personal files, like documents, to the Amazon Cloud Drive. You'll be able to access them from the cloud on your new Kindle. Books you have purchased from Amazon are automatically in the cloud. There's also a way to sync your Kindles, but I forgot how! I've used Amazon's help via live chat many times and have found them extremely helpful, prompt, courteous - the whole nine yards. Don't hesitate to use them; they're great!

A: You would have to transfer your files to a computer and then transfer them to the 10 inch Fire from the computer. I do not know of a way to transfer directly.
