Q: QuestionCan you upgrade the memory on this machine?(4 answers)
A: AnswerYou cannot. The memory is integrated with the CPU that it cannot be upgraded. And I asked a similar question about being able to configure here and so far, it doesn’t seem like it. But it’s still Day 1 of the new 15” M2 Air and maybe Best Buy will add the functionality to their site like they have for the MacBook Pro.Answered by Lightbored

MacBook Air 15”
Amazing computer. Best Buy’s price point compared to Apple was a solid discount. Apples prices their computers in a manner which makes it difficult to ensure your $ is getting the most value. Knowing your needs and knowing what computer is the best fit can be challenging. The moment you upgrade the Hardware in a base model, you’re better off moving up to the next best Laptop. Best Buy was able to get me double the storage at less than the price point of the base model at Apple. I will say at the product level, this computer has a beautiful display size. The color and resolution is solid. I was torn between getting a 14” MacBook Pro or a 15” MacBook Air. The price point for a Base Model 15” air was $1300 at Apple. Meanwhile the 14” pro was $2000. Once I began upgrading the Laptop to the specs I needed it became a $1500 MacBook Air. Now this price point only included me modifying the storage to 512GB. To now upgrade processor to 16GB of RAM, that would be an additional $200 in total price. Now we’re looking at a $1700 MacBook Air. At this point, moving to a 14” MacBook Pro would have been the better option. Now we start looking at the Best Buy price point. A 15” MacBook Air with 512 SSD for $1200 I can retain the benefits of screen size and save $300 in comparison to Apple direct. Even with my Student discount, this was still a better deal. The way I see it. I encourage you to do your research if you’re planning on buying a MacBook. It’s not something one should just jump into. Get something that will last and that is best for you. Watch 5-10 videos on YouTube. More importantly go into the store and Demo the device you’re looking into. The MacBook Air although “less powerful” than the MacBook Pro It’s a bigger screen It’s lighter and more portable by far The design is so thin I can barely feel it despite being 15” The weight between the pro and the air is so minuscule, but it’s definitely noticeable. I wanted something durable, efficient, portable and large. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. The battery life is wild. I was able to get 4.5 days of usage before I hit 15% I typically don’t do reviews this long, but I feel like it’s important to give insight from one consumer to another. Lastly, I was torn on the color. Starlight was probably the best color decision I didn’t know I wanted. Looks great and looks clean all the time. If you don’t know what color to get, I encourage you to check this one out. It avoids the fingerprints that the midnight color can’t.

Impressive Performance and Sleek Design
I recently purchased the MacBook Air 15, and I must say it’s exceeded my expectations in every way. From its stunning design to its outstanding performance, this laptop has quickly become my go-to device for both work and leisure. Performance: The MacBook Air 15 is powered by the latest Intel processor, and it handles multitasking with ease. Whether I’m editing photos, streaming 4K videos, or running resource-intensive applications, this laptop delivers a seamless experience. It’s remarkably fast and responsive, making it a productivity powerhouse. Design: Apple has always been known for its sleek and elegant designs, and the MacBook Air 15 is no exception. The thin and lightweight profile makes it incredibly portable, and the Retina display is simply stunning. The colors are vibrant, and the text is sharp, making it a joy to use for both work and entertainment. Battery Life: One of the standout features of the MacBook Air 15 is its impressive battery life. I can easily get a full day’s work done without needing to recharge. This level of endurance is a game-changer for people constantly on the move. Keyboard and Trackpad: The keyboard is comfortable to type on, and the trackpad is spacious and responsive. Apple’s attention to detail in these areas really enhances the overall user experience. Connectivity: While it would be nice to have more ports, the MacBook Air 15 does offer a good balance of USB-C ports for various accessories. It’s worth considering a USB-C hub for expanded connectivity options. In conclusion, the MacBook Air 15 is a top-notch laptop that combines exceptional performance with Apple’s signature design. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the value it offers in terms of power, portability, and battery life is well worth it. The perfect MacBook
I’ve had several MacBooks over the years, but this is by far my favorite MacBook! In the past I always preferred the MacBook Pro because I wanted the larger screen. With the 15inch MacBook Air I now get the larger size display, but in a light weight thinner design that comes with the Air. Apples M2 chip (and even the M1) really make the MacBook Air shine. With this model they also brought back the MagSafe charger! I’m so happy Apple listened to its customers and brought this feature back. Overall unless your someone who is maybe doing constant video editing, this is the best choice.
