Back Saver. Easy To Use.
|Posted .DESCRIPTION: This is perfect for me!!! Works like a charm and saves my back from a lot of pushing and pulling and bending. I have a bad back and have difficulty lifting and bending. I have a robo-vac that mops the floors and one that vacuums and picks up the dirt and dispenses it into its docking station. However, because the robo-vacs can’t go under certain things and get the corners, etc very well, this was the missing link! Although this was not created to actually handle all your vacuuming needs, it is very useful for spot pick-me-ups and in between a good all¬-around vacuuming. USAGE: I had a similar “other brand” stick vacuum and I absolutely loved it, but my daughter used it and unfortunately it stopped working. This “Stick” is a Bissell and Bissell is known for their reliability…as long as you use them as they are intended to be used. I don’t believe these are intended to be used in place of a regular vacuum, but are great for smaller jobs not whole house use. VERSATILITY: I LOVE that the handle bends into a handy position so I don’t have to bend much to get under anything. It is very light weight also. Unfortunately the hand vacuum tools cannot be stored on then unit itself, so put them in a safe place that you will remember where they are when needed. This vacuum comes off the handle to create the perfect handheld unit for vacuuming your car. How much easier it is to use without it having to be plugged in to an outlet. If it works as good as it does on low carpets, it will be great for vacuuming your car. GREAT FEATURE: Washable filter. Saves you money by not having to buy a new filter every few months. Just remember to keep it clean and don’t put it back into the machine until it is completely dry. BATTERY: Charging the battery takes quite a few hours (I didn’t time it), but if you are using it properly that charge can last you a few days to a month depending on how many times you need to use it for those little messes or if vacuuming your car.

Perfect Vacuum for Dorm Rooms & Small Apartments
|Posted .Best vacuum I have ever had. I am so glad it runs on a battery and not a cord allowing me to take it anywhere. In additions, the bendable frame and swivel allow me to get in every single area within my dorm room and grab ever spec of duct. Finally you can control the brush being on and off and easily clean both the filter and the brush. Lastly, I love the detachable vacuum for my car as for my nieces and nephews are always causing a mess in the backseat and in between my seats. The additional attachments help me get every single crumb, piece of candy, and chip up. Best Buy College Crew members receive products to write honest, unbiased reviews. Unexpectedly Good!
|Posted .I honestly have never known Bissell to have cutting edge technology. This one still is not ahead of the curve, but it surely does things more expensive brands can do. 1) Versatility- I need to clean my floor? No problem. It is in the usual floor vacuum format we are used to seeing. I need to clean my couch? No problem. It detaches to be a good handheld vacuum. I even used it to clean my car—especially those crevices. 2) Listens to me – I always have a hard time getting under the couch, or the kids’ beds, or the dining chair. The floor vacuum folds in the middle so that it can clean those areas WITHOUT ME BREAKING MY BACK. 3) Convenient – charges fast and easy, with the nice light indicator to tell me it’s fully charged and and I can easily stow it with the folding hinges. It is also EASY TO CLEAN / EMPTY and is light to carry—these things we NEED in a vacuum. 4) Reasonable – the feel is not of super high quality, but it is durable and reliable. It does what it needs to do. And most of all, I feel like it is worth more than its actual value (while other brands feel like you overpaid because of the frills). You know that friend who never treats you to anything but is always there when you need him for things that matter? This is how this one makes me feel. I like it. It is a no-nonsense vacuum.

Vacuum on a Stick
|Posted .I've got lots of indoor cats, so I'm constantly battling hair, litter, and bits of cat food on top of the regular dirt we track in. This vacuum looks like it's going to be another great tool in the house cleaning battle. Yes, it's mostly plastic construction, but it does feel pretty sturdy. It also has a 1-year warranty and Bissell has always been good about honoring that with other vacuums I've had from them. Here are some things I really like about this handheld/stick combo vacuum: I like that the stick stands up on its own with or without the hand vac inserted. I've had other vacuums that this isn't the case and found those really annoying. It's also very easy to snap in or pull out the handheld unit, and it's easy to empty and clean the dirt container. It also has pretty decent suction through the floor head and it's fairly quiet which is always a nice feature around the cats. The floor head easily picked up all the litter I could see. I'm a fairly tall person, but I found the stick handle to be a nice, comfortable length with the controls in an easy to reach spot. The grip is comfortable and it's very easy to twist and maneuver the floor head around to get into corners, etc. There are only a few minor little things that I could count as negatives against this vacuum. In the handheld mode, it's a little hard to reach the on/off button because it's too far forward on the handle. It also does take a full 8 hours to recharge it after you've depleted the battery. Fortunately, it has a long run time so I don't think this will be a big issue. I also now have yet another power adapter to keep track of for charging. I really wish companies could standardize on one type of charger, or build the charger into the vacuums and just have a standard power cord. The last small complaint is there's no place to store the crevice and brush attachments. This seems to be a very common issue with all these little vacuums. It would sure be nice if there were a couple places to store the attachments somewhere on the stick. When I'm cleaning and need one of them, it's always annoying to go track them down wherever I last left them. Overall, though, I think this is another great vacuum from Bissell and I'm happy to add it to my arsenal. It takes up very little storage space (the handle conveniently folds if you want to put it under a counter or something), and it's very handy to grab for quick cleanup jobs.

Light, versatile, good power!
|Posted .Review for BISSELL - Adapt Ion XRT Bagless Cordless Handheld/Stick Vacuum - Cobalt Blue/Titanium This vac is clearly based on the many ergonomic innovations found in Bissell’s Crosswave Cleaner. It’s light, very easy to maneuver, and loaded with useful features. I like how it moves around with a turn of the wrist and how the handle folds back to get under furniture. It folds the other way for easy storage. You can pull out the integrated hand vac for cleaning furniture and the pet fur attachment did a great job on dog hair before our Thanksgiving get together. This is not a “time to vacuum the house” appliance, but that said, it’s great to pull out for polishing up, sweeping up a mess, or last minute touchups. The 20 minute run time is more than sufficient for most such jobs. It’s small footprint makes it easy to store in a handy location for those quick pickups.

All-in-One? Nearly.
|Posted .The main purpose of getting this particular vacuum was to help clean my car. Cleaning the carpet in the house was its secondary purpose. My main gripe is that it's not powerful enough. I found myself trying each attachment or no attachments and not a single variation would be perfect. I found myself just grabbing pieces of dirt or unwanted material out of my car with my own hands or by using wet wipes. If I had to give a percentage it picked up maybe 70%. Vacuums that I've used with my car in the past could definitely pick up more. That could be because it's battery-powered and it's not able to provide more power because of such. It's a good vacuum don't get me wrong and I feel like it could fit into someone's cleaning equipment but it would probably be the 2nd or 3rd vacuum I would purchase. I was hoping for one that could be portable and function as a regular vacuum but it just falls short on power. Looking forward to more powerful iterations.
