Best Coffee Maker We Have Ever Had!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Braun Brew Sense was unboxed and set up today, and we made a test pot of coffee. Some of the best coffee we have had in a long time. Setting the machine up is easy if you follow the very good directions in the manual that comes with it. It produces no steam so can sit under cabinets to save space. It comes with all the whistles and bells anyone would need in a coffee maker, and we'll see how it lasts. We also bought a two year Geek Squad replacement warranty, and recommend it for everyone.

Good Coffee Maker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was interested in testing the Braun BrewSense to see if their claim to rich, reliable coffee would be fulfilled and it was. I’m testing the BrewSense Drip Coffee Maker - 12 Cup - KF7150. The coffee maker appears to be very well made and a quality coffee maker. The KF7150 is the middle coffee maker of the 3 different 12cup Braun BrewSense coffee makers. The only difference I can see between the KF7150 and the top end KF7170 is the materials used in the build. To test the; 1-4, Strength, and Temp (warmer) settings I used the exact same measured amounts of filtered water, measured amounts of coffee grounds (1tbls per cup), milled at the same grind setting for each test. PureFlavor Technology: Consistent great flavor from the first to last drop is one of Braun’s claims. As with all coffee makers if you sneak a cup prior to the finish of the brew it is going to be a stronger cup of coffee than it will be if you let the pot brew complete. FlavorCarafe: Would be hard to determine how beneficial this is without making coffee in two different coffee makers and test this statement. Anti-Drip System: The anti-drip system is better than any coffee maker I’ve used, you may get one miniscule drip which is expected any time you have heat and liquid. Programmable 24-Hour Timer: Worked perfect every time. Be sure to follow the instructions thoroughly. Programmable Auto Off: Another nice feature because you can adjust the AUTO OFF time to suit your needs. Still in the process of testing the difference times and I have had one issue, I set the AUTO OFF to 30 minutes and it shut off after 23 minutes. Two independent timers were used when testing this feature. I’m not sure if the warmer timer starts at the beginning of the brew or after the brew is complete. Brew Strength Selector: I did not find as great a difference between the brew cycle REGULAR and BOLD however there is a slight difference. REGULAR: Cups Brewed 12, Brewing Time 9min. 37sec., Coffee Temp During Brew 188.0, Coffee Temp Brew Complete 182.8, Warmer Setting Medium. BOLD: Cups Brewed 12, Brewing Time 11min. 3sec., Coffee Temp During Brew 184.5, Coffee Temp Brew Complete 182.5, Warmer Setting Medium Keep Warm Plate: Very cool feature. There is a significant difference between LOW, MEDIUM and HIGH. If you are the only person drinking a pot of coffee you can start your full pot off on HIGH, drop to MEDIUM when you get to the half pot, and then LOW when you have less coffee left in the pot and save overheating your coffee. I would recommend this product to my friends and family.

Great Product For Under $100
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This coffee maker is absolutely fantastic. This coffee provides crisp, clean, strong tasting coffee. The filter provides a very clean tasting drink. I've tested it using water from a filter and then water from the sink. The water here in Florida has chlorine in it which provides a horrible taste usually. This machine made my drink taste incredible. I would have to say that it has a better taste than when I use bottled water. This product is very, very simple to set-up and use and the instructions are very straightforward and easy to comprehend. Like any product though, this has both Pros and Cons: Pros: Easy to Set Up -- This machine didn't need any complex setting up or putting together. The instruction booklet showed how to set up the filter and run it through the initial cleaning process. After that, the coffee maker was ready to go. Under $100 -- It maker provides terrific quality without breaking the bank. I've used many coffee makers that have cost well over $100 and I would have to say that this coffee maker out-performed them. Easy to Make Drinks -- This maker does not require any complex processes to make your drink. You put the water in the reservoir that is located on the side of the maker and measure one scoop (with the scoop) per cup of water. You measure out how bold and how hot you want your drink to be. That's it! You press the button to brew it and it will brew. Nothing complicated about it. Attractive Design -- It is very ergonomically designed. It does not take up much space at all. Overall, it takes up a little more space than a Pickle Jar. The square design makes it easy to slide onto the counter and it does not have a funky shape or have pieces that hang over. The black and white make it meld into the rest of my kitchen appliances and it flows with my kitchen. Cons: The Karaffe -- It feels cheap. The glass feels very thin and I am afraid that I will break it when I use it. I know that it is sturdy glass and it will not, but I feel like they could have made the glass feel more secure and not as thin. The Filter -- I love the filter on this product but I feel like rebuying the filter multiple times a year makes this a hassle. It also bothers me that there are no extra filers included. So when my product expires I'm automatically going to be out of pocket because I will have to buy more. It's also a bigger problem because the filters do not have a long lifetime. It's one thing to have to continuously keep on buying an aspect for this product, but 6 times a year is absolutely ridiculous. More Features -- I feel like this product puts too much on the filter aspect. There are other products that have more features that sell for the same price. For example, the Ninja Coffee Bar sells for the same price and has a plethora of features. I feel like this coffee maker depended too much on the filter. I feel like it should have a mug feature. Now, this product does have one to four cup brewing, but you HAVE to use the Karaffe. I am spoiled to other brands, they have the feature to where I can set my mug down and it can fill up my mug directly. I do not have to dirty two dishes. Overall, I am a fan of this product, I like that I can get hard-filtered water and experience the full taste of my coffee. I do loathe the fact that I will have to continue to buy filters. I would like my products to be a "One and Done" type of thing. I feel like if you value the taste of your coffee and really want to let the full flavors come to life this is for you. This is not a bad product whatsoever, I just feel like in this day and age that there is some real competition in the coffee maker market. The fact that this does not have more features does low a blow. Excluding those two things, this is an amazing maker that I have put away my other products for. I love that this has made me taste the full flavors of my coffee and it is a delight drinking from it each morning.

You'll LOVE this coffee maker!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using my Braun BrewSense KF7150BK for a couple of weeks now. I was really exited! This is my first new coffee maker in a long time. I still had an old one that I would use paper filter with and had no timer. I've been wanting to upgrade for awhile now but just didn't know what one to but when the Braun BrewSense KF7150BK fell into my lap. It was very easy to set up. The coffee tastes so much better than my old coffee maker. It must be the built in water filtration system. It has an easy to set up timer so it's already brewing when I get up in the morning. I love the anti- drip feature. Sometimes I'm up before the timer finishes so being able to grab a cup of coffee without having to wait for the whole pot to brew was a big win for me. I like the gold built in reusable filter. So much better & cost effective than paper filters. However, when you get to the bottom of the pot of coffee there is a thick sludgy substance mixed with coffee grounds. I never had that while using paper filters. The coffee makers sleek design & the two tone black and stainless steel finish was nice. It matched perfectly with my other appliances in my kitchen. If you love coffee, then you'll love this coffee maker! "This product has been put at my disposal for no compensation and in order to share my honest and unbiased opinion. The Braun Experience
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently got an opportunity to review the above Braun Coffee maker in home and all I had to do was give my honest opinion since I am addicted to coffee on a daily basis. I wanted to experience during the 4 weeks I was allowed to test the above product is a stronger brew with the consistency of ordering a starbucks coffee in my own home. And to my great surprise every day at 5:30 a.m. as I entered my kitchen I could smell the strong aroma of Maxwell House filling my home. I loved it. I used Braun coffee maker to great me in the morning as I rise and in the evening when I was tired from fighting traffic and needed a boost to finish the day with my family. The Braun coffee maker is easy to use but deliver quality brewing for coffee lovers as myself. It allows me to brew from 1 to 4 cups at a time. I invited all my family over for dessert and the Braun Coffee Maker was the center of attention. I am so happy with the results I am going to go out and buy one for myself. Thank you Review Club for this great opportunity. "This product has been put at my disposal for no compensation and in order to share my honest and unbiased opinion. Great Coffee Maker
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first received this to review, I was afraid of its size, as the box was huge. When I took it out of the box, it fit under my cabinet perfectly! I love the square, clean cut design, and love the fact that the carafe is protected in the casing. Set up was easy, I love the charcoal filter. I have not used the auto feature yet, but I feel that it will be awesome as well. It brews in an acceptable amount of time and stays hot, without burning and getting strong. The only thing so far that has been not perfect is, when the warming plate times out, you can't just turn it back on. Yes, sometimes we have coffee longer than two hours. This is not a game changer though. I seriously think when our trial runs out, I will be purchasing this unit

Best Coffee Maker Ever!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's put it this way: I used to use a french press. I bought this because I needed to make a lot of coffee for lots of guests and it makes the same coffee taste way better than it did from the french press! I'm pretty much JUST using this now. Plus it's got lots of nice features: self-cleaning, auto on, auto off, water hardness settings, water filter with changeable charcoal packs, and no-drip brewing where you can take the pot out and pour a cup while it's brewing as long as you put the pot back within 20 seconds so the reservoir doesn't overflow inside the machine. I absolutely love this coffee maker!

Q: QuestionHow do you set the clock on the Braun KF7150 coffee maker. Directions in the booklet didn't work. It is still reading 10:28.
Asked by Carolangelo.
- A:Answer Press and hold the CLOCK button for 5 seconds. Afterwards, the hour value flashes, so press the SET button set incrementally until desired HOUR time is reached; then press CLOCK again until minutes flash and do the same thing; finish by pressing CLOCK once more and time will no longer flash and will be set.

Q: Questionafter i clean the coffee maker will the clean light go off by itself?
Asked by Lisa.
- A:Answer I have not used the clean cycle yet, and from what I read in book, it will go off. I also went out to the Braun site, and you can use a 50/50 mixture of distilled white vinegar and water mixture to clean/descale when it needs It (this should be done about once a month). Run the 12 cup mixture through until it is at the 6 cup mark, then turn off machine and wait about an hour. Turn back on and hit brew and let it run the rest of the way through. You'll need to run a full pot or two of clean water through machine to rinse out the vinegar. This takes longer than buying the descaling mixture Braun sells, and it cost much much less, so I don't mind the extra time. Another buyer said that if light comes on too often, run a pot of clean water through, and light will go off until you are ready to clean/descale. We use a Culligan filter system under the sink, so water is already filtered and hope this will help keep it cleaner longer. The machine's water filter is also optional if using clean filtered water. Water from most taps has things in it you don't want to know about, so a nice water filter of some kind is recommended.

Q: QuestionHave you noticed it makes a lot of noise after it has brewed a pot of coffee? I just got this yesterday and this morning is my first pot. It is making popping sounds (like someone cracking their knuckles or a crushing plastic kind of sound)
Asked by WLCM.
- A:Answer Hello, Please contact the manufacturer for the answer to this question. Thank you

Q: QuestionIs the water filter optional and will the coffee maker still work without it? We have a reverse osmosis system under the sink and do not need additional filtering of water. Thanks!
Asked by Morgaine.
- A:Answer Yes the water filter is optional. I use filtered water so there is no need to filter it again.
Answered by JDog
Q: QuestionIs the water reservoir easy to fill without spilling water?
Asked by Dot.
- A:Answer If you have plenty of space to work above the unit (at lease 1-ft), and you fill it from the right container (not the carafe, maybe a narrower pitcher) you can do so pretty easily without spilling water. If, on the other hand, you have limited space it can be difficult to reach the back right corner of the unit where you need to fill. Also, if you use the carafe to fill it seems to spill a small percentage sometimes due to the angle at which you are forced to hold the carafe.
