A: The remote will work for a Toshiba TV if you program it thru the Setting & Help function. I programmed my Samsung no problem. Really easy. However I’m afraid I can’t answer the second part. I don’t have either one of those.
Q: will this work if i have cable tv not direct tv
A: No, this remote is ONLY for DirectTV boxes in general, and maybe even only the pre-Genie DirectTV boxes, possibly.
