Q: We own a GE Profile french door fridge in 2013 and it is very loud. Have you improved the fridge so that it is not as loud?

A: Hi VeryInterested- Our refrigerators continue to be designed with as quiet a performance as possible. Modern refrigerators have more features and use newer technology. Also, different kitchen layouts will produce different sounds due to the type of flooring, cabinetry, wall and insulation behind the refrigerator, acoustics within the kitchen, etc. Thanks for checking with us!

Q: I was wondering the size of the ice holder/container of this model and the size of the counter top version model # PYE22PSKSS ?

A: Hello AggieBilly - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and we are happy to help you. Both the PYE22PSKSS and the PFE28SPKSS offer the Space Saving Ice in the dispenser side French Door of the refrigerator. The refrigerators will make approximately 3.9 pounds of ice per day. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!

Q: When will additional colors be added? Black Stainless?

A: Hi Kathy- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest! We anticipate introducing our new Cafe Series Black Slate Appliances Fall 2016 and Spring 2017. You can view the collection at the following link: http://www.geappliances.com/ge/black-slate-appliances.htm - Thanks for checking with us!

Q: How far out does the freezer extend from the body of the fridge? We have an island in front and I want to gauge if one can stand in front of the open freezer and not bump into the island. Please include the handle in the measurement.

A: Hello Sonia - Thank you for reaching out about this awesome refrigerator. The total depth from the back of the unit to the tip of the handle with the freezer door completely open is 53-3/8". We hope this helps in your decision. Please let us know if you have any more questions. - John

Q: I noted that the depth of the product with handles is 35 3/4 inches. Our doorway is 35". I'm assuming handles are installed separately and refrigerator will fit through 35" doorway?

A: Hi - Overall Depth is 36 1/4 in. Depth without handle is 34 3/4 in. The refrigerator door handles and/or doors can be removed to fit through the doorway. We suggest to view the Specifications document at the following link for all product dimensions: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=PFE28PMK_PSK_C2.pdf - You can also view the Installation Guide at the following link for details on removing handles/doors: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60792-3.pdf - Thanks for choosing GE.
