Very happy. Wonderful dishwasher.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this dishwasher for a great price when sale was happening. I had Best Buy deliver the dishwasher at a set scheduled time/day. The gentleman delivering were very kind, quick and efficient. They made sure to drop it off at the exact spot inside our house for my convenience. I had my husband remove the old dishwasher and install this one. FYI, he has never installed a dishwasher before but I am so proud of him, he said it actually wasn’t complicated at all just tedious because we have a stupid but lovely kitchen lol. The dishwasher has many features & works very nicely, I love the bottle jets. My only complaint is that it states to use cascade dishwasher pods and they suck. Sometimes I will wash and the pod will not break up. I don’t want to blame this dishwasher because it is very high quality. Due to this some cups and dishes are not fully sanitized or soap scum is left in the cups. The dishwasher instructions also recommended cascade liquid rinse aid, it kind of helps however, I am unsure if it dispenses the full amount that I put in (see pic). My mom has a dishwasher very similar to this one and she said her dishwasher does the same thing and doesn’t always break up the pods properly. So she recommends to use cascade liquid detergent. It is kind of like a toothpaste blue gel scrub mixture that you squeeze out in the tray. She said ever since then she’s never had any problems dishwashing. Unfortunately, I still have tons of pods lol, but will have to pick some up and maybe try a pod detergent mixture to get rid of the rest of these pods. As far as the liquid rinse aid, I feel like it’s a scam, just like fabric softener lol.

Easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s easy to use. We like that the controls are hidden on the top of the door. It does a really good job on the dishes. It’s so nice not having to rinse them first before loading them.

Shame of BEST BUY and GE
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was great until it wasn't. There is a shiny silver trim around the top where the buttons are. One side popped off and now the door does not close properly. It is chipping away at my new custom wood cabinets. I called Best Buy since I purchased an extended warranty but they said they were going to charge 125 because it is a cosmetic defect. I tried explaining to the rep that it is not simply cosmetic if it prevents the door from closing, but the rep would not listen to me. I am so so disappointed with Best Buy and GE. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere to purchase.

Great Dishwasher~
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This review is a while coming because I ordered applicances when I started building a new house since they were in short supply and it sat in its box for a few months!! I really like this dishwasher in so many ways! stainless steel, inside and out, sleek, no handle, easy open. I especially like that the controls on on the top, where you can see them without leaning over! Very few controls, just choose the soil level (or automatic sensing), push 'start' and shut the door! This machine holds a lot of dishes and cookware. One feature I didn't realize it had was a third top rack designed specifically for utensils and small things so they can fall through the racks! You know when you put that spatula in the top rach and it falls through and stops the spray arm! This rack is genius! The glassware rach has bottle washer spouts! You can turn them on or off depending on whether you have bottles to clean. Simply choose the bottle washer! I actually like the utensil rack. It goes in one place on the bottom rack and is easily removed. The slots in the rack easily take my flatware which has big ends. I like this because it really keeps spoons and forks from nesting so they get clean. Yes, clean. This dishwasher gets things really clean in a couple of hours (epa regs require the longer time to use less water, alas). There is a quick one hour wash, which i have used, but I tend to use the auto sensing and let it go. All of my dishes come out clean AND DRY. Yes! Dry dishes! and sanitized as well! I have challenged this dishwasher with greasy pans, stuck on foods on bakeware and congealed milk in a drinking cup--- all came clean. So, try this dishwasher and I think you will enjoy it. Oh! I forgot to mention that it is very quiet! We watch TV while it's running and it is not noticeable.

Nice Dishwasher and easy to install.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the record, we have had this dishwasher installed for about six weeks. The dishwasher comes well packaged, but you need to watch out for the depth of the knife you use to cut through the box on the bottom. There's a mark on the box where you should cut through, but the knife can damage some plastic components or the door cord if you cut too deep. Only cut at a depth of 1/4 inch and you should be fine. If you install this yourself, you probably should get a new braided water inlet hose. This washer takes a 90 degree hose type of fitting on the end of the hose with a rubber washer. They sell the hoses at Home Depot for about $15.00. The washer is very, very quiet, so if you had an old one you will probably really like this one. As far as the quality of washing dishes is concerned, we pre-wash our dishes in the sink to get off the majority of the stuck-on food, and with that practice, the washer has give us spotless dishes with every use. We set the washer to run for a 60 minute fast cycle. With the 3rd rack, you can really only use it for silverware and low-profile utensils. For instance, measuring cups are too thick to fit up there. But with all that room, you sure as heck are not going to run out of places for silverware! It comes with bottle washers on the 1st pull out rack, but so far we haven't had a reason to use them. BTW, the top pull out rack has an adjustment to lower it a couple of inches so you could put bigger pots and things on the top rack, but if you do that you also decrease the ability to wash really big pots on the bottom rack, so at best you can wash medium sized pots on both racks with the top rack lowered to the bottom setting. Oh, one more thing: there is a very thin, almost undetectable transparent piece of film on front of the door. At first we thought the door had scratches on it, but it was the film that was sill on the door that had the scratches !

Decent, looks good, but not enough features
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do like this machine but for the price (almost $1000), I expected more. Pros: clean look, low profile (we got the hidden controls) and good space, I can fir a lot in there. CONS: no interior light, 3rd rack only pulls halfway out making it awkward to use, rated as "very quiet", but I disagree. Its louder than my previous 10-year-old GE dishwasher and doesn't do a good job with pots and pans. Does not clean baked on oils (spray pam) and no soak or prewash so baked on food doesn't come off. also, the buttons are difficult to use. you have to press exactly in the middle of the button and fairly hard. I'm thinking of returning it for one with better features for the price.

Q: QuestionIs the middle rack removable? If not, what is the maximum distance that we can get between middle rack's tallest height setting and lower rack? I am trying to see if I can fit 25" sink rack for washing. Thanks for replying
Asked by Girl.
- A:Answer Hi Girl - Thanks for considering GE! The adjustable middle rack is not designed to be removed except by a technician. You have about 13.5" between the lower and middle rack if you're at the edges of the rack, but because of the spray arm under the middle rack, you have about 12" clearance.
