A fair game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game will not have the greatest graphics it does have some glitches but I still enjoy it a lot. Something out of the ordinary. This game is not for everybody. Don't go by the reviews, just rented if your are not sure if you are not going to like it.

Insane HD Visuals, Fluid Gameplay, Real Philly aps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been waiting for this Game's release since b4 the holidays! Being from the Philly area I had to get this game! The skyline, and center city scenery is on point, minus the NK invasion, Lol, also the surrounding Philly streets give u that real life scenario feeling if this were to happen! This game has an original feel and storyline to it which is refreshing! I recommend at least giving it a try!

Average extras for an average game.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.2016 had many terrible games released, with Homefront: The Revolution being tagged as the worst of the worst from that year. Despite a fairly large ad campaign and hype, the game failed to set the world on fire, with largely terrible reviews and glitches galore, it went to the $20 rack a couple months later. Everyone claimed that it is one of the worst games ever made, but is it truly worthy of that title? The story is set in an alternate not-too-distant future, with North Korea leading the world, and the US owing trillions to Korea, and when we can't pay, they take over the States, to "improve" our lives. You play a resistance fighter, heck bent on rescuing the leader of the resistance and ending the Korean occupation. The story is decent enough, enough to make it playable for the 15-20 hours you play, but with clichéd characters and plot lines, it fails to breathe life into the FPS genre. Graphics, and especially the lighting effects are terrific, with some environments looking the same but the day and night lighting is a looker. Sound effects are nothing special but do the job and controls and gunplay do well enough, as well. Game play overall is fun enough, but some things take time to get used to. I like the concept of swapping out different guns (From pistol of SMG) and the potential of the RC cars, but it seems shoehorned in on the last months of development. Missions can be repetitive and the ending fails to truly satisfy (The DLC ends the storyline with satisfaction, but paying more than the game costs for each one is hard to justify) but it is far from the worst game of 2016, let alone ever. It is painfully average with some good ideas executed none to well. The Day 1 exclusive from Best Buy is like the game, okay but not the best. The steelbook is well-built and fairly sturdy, but the DLC isn't great, mainly just weapons and no extra DLC, unfortunately. Worth the $12.99 but not for all tastes.

Not too bad
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is better than what it has been reviewed as, but still not as great. I would give this a 6.5/10 as it's still fun to play, but the difficulty level is infuriating. The premise of the story is that the US has fallen on virtual economic ruin and a North Korean (Samsung-esque) company comes to bail the US out but becomes an occupying force. As my son pointed out, the city of Philadelphia has more in common with Boston from Fallout rather than an economically poor Philly. Buildings are destroyed and nearly leveled and looks more like a war was fought than an occupying relief army is there. It plays well, except for the overwhelming amount of enemies who flock to kill you when you are discovered. This can be maddening. Overall, I still like to play it and have got my money's worth despite its shortcomings.

A excellent first person shooter under a flawed en
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an excellent sandbox first person shooter. The game is very pretty but, comes at a price. You will rarely ever see this game rise above 20 frames per second which makes it almost impossible to be a force not to be reckoned with. You will die often due to the response time. You can adapt but, it will be at your own frustration. The guerilla style gameplay and liberating towns can feel rewarding and quite fun. This game is in need of a major patch that the developers promise it will get. This game is currently discounted so, you can still have fun while you wait and support the company. I would hate to see such potential of a franchise get destroyed because, someone was stupid and let it out the door a bit too early before it was finished. A game that has great potential but, needs to be fixed.

Had promise, extremely buggy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game had some decent ideas. It isn't your typical FPS and isn't like the original Homefront. This is more open world. It takes elements from the Far Cry series, where you take over "outposts" and other areas to gain control. Side missions to complete, etc. The story is ok at best, the gameplay leaves a lot to be desired, and the graphics are meh for 2016 standards. The worst thing about it, is it is extremely buggy. Lots of annoying little bugs and glitches you can encounter. Some that may force you to quit the game and restart. Some were game breaking until recent patches. Just an average game at best, and only buy if you are obsessed with FPS.
