Honeywell - AirGenius 3 Air Cleaner/Odor Reducer - White

I love it it's a great product I highly recommend this item we suffer from allergies and this item helps out a lot . I couldn't imagine not having this product

We've had the Airgenius 5 for a couple of years. Eventually enough dust gets past the filter and into the device itself (motors, etc) that it started to make an annoying rattle it's hard to sleep near. For $200+, a bit disappointing that it couldn't be cleaned out. Because I expect this Airgenius 3 will similarly last only 2-3 years, as the mechanism appears identical, I'm rating a 4 star. However, these air cleaners work well, are easy to clean, and require no replacement filters. Went with the 3 vs 5 this time. Appears to be an identical design in terms of the stuff that cleans the air. If you can live with white instead of black, the 3 may be the better deal. The 5 adds extra accent lighting and a couple of extra speeds you probably won't use … and a touch screen that's got so many lights on it, we needed to place a magazine on the panel at night (no night-mode to turn off only the lights). The 3 has a simplified control panel and few lights; no magazine cover needed.

I got this same air purifier about a year ago, and Best Buy had it on sale so I decided to get another one. My husband and I have terrible allergies and by keeping one in the living room and one in our bedroom running all the time our allergies have not been as bad!! Normally we would be sneezing first thing in the morning but we have both seen a big improvement. I would buy again. Just have no need as we have the two main rooms covered!

I purchased this item a little over a month ago in hopes that it would serve two purposes. First, I wanted something to help with the allergens in the air in my bedroom. Second, I wanted a fan. This air purifier thankfully fits both bills. I have had way less problems with my allergies this year, and this machine also makes the air in my room smell fresher and cleaner. Also, even on the medium function this thing moves some air and definitely helps me cool my room. It’s also a good amount of fan sound if you like to have that as white noise while you sleep. I usually let is oscillate at night and it doesn’t make any creeking or clicking noises as it turns which is a huge plus because those types of noises drive me crazy. Also, I love that this has washable filters and is energy star rated. Much better for the environment and my wallet. Overall, this seems to be an excellent product.

The AirGenius 3 is mostly the same as the AirGenius 5, I actually like the AirGenius 3 a bit better, I never used the timer on my AirGenius 5, I also never turned on the accent lighting, and I did not prefer the touch style of buttons that the AirGenius 5 has. I had my AirGenius 5 placed on a top shelf, so that I had to reach up high to turn it on, the power button on the AirGenius 5 is a standard button, so it was easy to press the power button to turn it on, but the speed changing button being a touch sensitive button, I had to sort of remember its location, and changing speeds was sort of a hassle with no physical button to feel and press. Having had the newer AirGenius 5 and now the AirGenius 3, both have had a strange smell fresh out of the box, it was either a new plastic smell, or maybe a new motor smell, it is a bit annoying, but the smell does eventually dissipate. This line of Honeywell AirGenius air filters, is indeed effective and requires no additional purchase of costly Hepa filters, it does require a regular effort of cleaning the electrostatic filter and the foam pre-filter, but if you are the type of person who does not like to buy hepa filters and you have the time to clean the Honeywell filters, then this should be a good air filter for you. I clean the Honeywell filters in the shower area, I have a shower wand that has the adjustable water flow, I turn the flow onto a concentrated setting and the water on high, and the flow of water is all I have ever used in cleaning the Honeywell filters, of which I leave the pre-filter in the back cover and flush the dust back out the way it came in. I would suggest to never use really hot tap water when cleaning the AirGenius filters, just medium warm water, as I have had plastics crack from the sudden flow of hot tap water. Overall this is a great air filter that is quite effective. Who knows, maybe Honeywell will improve this product in the future and add a remote. Even with the inconveniencing strange odor when this product is new, I feel as if it is still one of the best air filters on the market today. The most important factor in me designating this to be one of the best air filters, is that it is made with a ball bearing motor.

I got the product on the Deal of the day so I was way satisfied with the price. It is a sort of fan unit with the power at full which is kind of cool too. I smoke and when I come home from work the house smells clean. I'm content with it especially getting at 70 % off .

Excellent value; runs quietly and does its job very effectively. I have allergies and experienced less irritation and sneezing once I got this running and cleaning the air.

This unit runs very quietly but delivers enough clean air to almost completely eliminate my allergy symptoms.
