Do yourself a favor and stay away from this model.
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality1 out of 5Value1 out of 5Ease of Use1 out of 5Terrible quality dishwasher, I should have stayed with my old Bosch dishwasher. Installed on February 11th by Bestbuy and we had to call for service on March 1st. Bestbuy said it is over 15 days no return accepted (and we are in Texas, with 3 days no power should have qualified us). The door won't close properly and causes the machine to stop the wash very often. You have 4 seconds to start the machine otherwise it won't work. Once you open the door during the wash you have to remember to press start again before closing otherwise it stops the cycle. Normal washing time is extremely long: 2 hours 32 minutes for normal wash and Turbo is 2 hours 2 minute. The front door control panel plastic cover has already shown cracks in 2 weeks (was the main reason for the service call). LG service guy showed up and it will take a month to get the parts to fix the machine. And keep in mind this is a brand new $1000 dishwasher...

My new LG KITCHEN 2021
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Quiet, RacksCons mentioned:Wash cyclesAn excellent product. It’s very quiet when operating as promised. The 3 rack system is a nice perk when you need to load long spoons and spatulas, etc. the adjustable upper rack was a big priority for me and it moves easily and smoothly, also as promised. The array of options and cycles will take me a while to figure out but at 78 I feel that I can learn.

No Complaints
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Pros mentioned:CleaningCons mentioned:Dry cycleNo Complaints. Has LG chimes you can turn off. WiFi doesn’t add much besides notifications. Does good job cleaning. After a bit of trialing I found it can be run overnight with even plastics pretty dry in the morning. I used auto + Steam + Extra Dry. Controls are on top but not hidden with standard depth install (see my pic). Use can use controls with door shut or open. No heating element so plastics can go on bottom. System drys be using hot water and venting after the washing is complete. The prongs on every rack can be folded down to accommodate pots/pans/bakeware. So prong slots can be about 1inch, two inch or flat.

Install Successful
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Just installed so can't review anything long-term but cleans well and love the 3rd rack. I do want to comment on the install though. On height adjustment, manual references using a flat blade screwdriver but could find no corresponding slot. Also pictured is using a ratchet/socket to adjust the front legs. There's not even enough room to get a 1/4" drive socket on the leg let alone getting a ratchet in there. I was barely able to get a wrench in there and turn it 1/8 turn a dozen times. Of more a concern is the specified 24 5/8" depth. This it to the back of the tub. In addition there is a ~3/8" thick sound foam attached to it. Furthermore, the drain hose is extremely long and at 1 1/4" diameter I ran out of room behind the tub. Luckily the lower 8" or so there is clearance for the hose but was rather laborious to push the dishwasher in an inch, pull the drain hose out, make sure it stayed in the lower recess behind the machine, repeat as necessary. Would be nice if there was a wire tie mount to hold the drain hose in the recess while pushing it in and instead of a molded end to the drain hose, a way to cut it to length, then add the end. On a side note, didn't help my counter isn't level. Will review operationally in a few months. Lastly, this was my 3rd option behind Kitchenaid and Bosch which were unavailable.

It’s a high quality dishwasher that runs quietly. *there is no LG log on front so a regular stainless would blend well

Quiet!!!
|Posted .Owned for 2 months when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5My last dishwasher was about 10 years old. The first time I used the dishwasher I had to check to make sure it was still running -- it is so quiet! I've only used the "auto" feature on it and I did have a few items that needed to be recleaned. Hopefully selecting a different option when I have extra dirty items will take care of this. If so, I would have given this a 5 star rating. The extra tray on the top is good for flat items. Not sure I prefer that over just having the extra "head room" on the lower tray. I would normally just throw my large spoons and whatever else in the top tray in the past. Having the controls on the inside top of the door is an adjustment. Definitely better for the look of the dishwasher.

Sparkling Clean but Yes, the Drying
|Posted .Owned for 1 week when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Cleaning, Dishes, QuietCons mentioned:Wash cyclesI am pretty much seconding what most reviewers say. The dishes come out sparkling clean, especially when rinse aid is used. But in order to get them reasonably dry, I've found it needs to be set on "Extra Dry" + "Night Dry." I wish this washer had the pop-open function at the end of cycle, but at least Night Dry mode leaves a fan running internally. It's very quiet, unless a dish or utensil is poorly positioned and rattles against another item. Love the third rack at the top for flattish items like spatulas and lid covers. The filter is easy to remove and clean. The half load function is awesome. Extremely finger print resistant. I disagree with the complaints that it takes too long to complete a cycle-- 3:27 (auto + extra dry) is totally reasonable. I'll bet their old dishwashers took just as long, just didn't have a countdown! I'll likely never use the wifi/smart device function, but its a good investment as far as property value goes.

Very nice dishwasher
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5This unit does a very good job cleaning even in its auto setting. It is also extremely quiet which is one of the main reasons we bought it. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is the layout of the bottom rack. The reservoir for the rinse agent does NOT have a gauge so you don’t know how much it’s holding. This makes me add it every cycle so I know it has some in it. Also, the wire racking for plates & larger dishes is too far apart. There’s room for 3 rows but it only has 2 because the gap between them is too great. When I run the dishwasher, the middle of the bottom rack is empty.

Q: QuestionI just got this dishwasher installed. The dishes dried but the plastic bowls and the machine tub stay wet when using Extra Drying. Is there a feature to completely dry the dishes? My old machine was very hot and all dry after the cycle.
Asked by JoeD.
- A:Answer Hey Joe, my machine is new too and I had a similar experience. The plastics and tub drying got waaaaay better after I put a rinse-aid in (I used Finish brand). Even better after I set it to "Night Dry" mode. Now, I usually only need to dry off plastics because of excess water that collects in the rims/recesses.

Q: QuestionDoes this come with the parts needed to effectively install or will I have to purchase a installation kit of some sort?
Asked by EKReys.
- A:Answer Always best to start with a new installation kit. Our installer used the old hose even through a new one was supplied. He had to return within an hour because of a pool of water on the floor. Used the new kit, all has been fine since then.

Q: QuestionDoes it has built in disposal?
Asked by Bunny.
- A:Answer No, just a filter that needs to be cleaned periodically, depending on usage. In my case, twice per month. (Heavy usage)

Q: QuestionI’ve noticed that the top of my dishwasher gets water laying on the top of it. It’s on the control panel and between that and my counter. What would cause this to happen? I’m worried it’s going to ruin my control panel and damage my counter top.
Asked by Cy.
- A:Answer That's very odd. Some dishwashers open during the drying cycle to aid with the excess moisture, which could potentially cause a pooling on top of your door. But I would look at your door seal for any damage and if none exists, then perhaps run a quick wash or rinse and watch it to determine where the water is coming from. Wish I could be of more help. Good luck with the dishwasher.
Answered by BACADEW2131
Q: Questiondoes it have a visible indicator light when closed to show if its done running?
Asked by shelly.
- A:Answer Yes, when the cycle is complete, a chime will sound and the display will show "End" until the door is opened or Power is pressed. ^Daphane
