Q: QuestionDoes this lens fit on a D3100?
Asked by Pey12.
- A:Answer While the Nikon AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR Telephoto Zoom lens is able to be mounted on the Nikon D3100 DSLR camera, it will not work as AF-P type lenses are not compatible with this model of camera. Compatible lenses for the Nikon D3100 are AF-S and E-type lenses. AF-type lenses can also be used but will need to be manually focused.

Q: QuestionWill this work on nikon d3300
Asked by Softball.
- A:Answer AF-P lenses like this AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens can be used with the D3300. D3300 firmware version 1.0.1 is required in order to be able to enable/disable the lens VR (vibration reduction). D3300 firmware version 1.0.1 can be downloaded from this address: http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/download/fw/174.htmlhttp://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/download/fw/174.html . When using an AF-P lens on the D3300 the camera’s setup menu will not have the “Manual Focus Ring in AF mode” option so this feature will remain enabled. When enabled, “Manual Focus Ring in AF mode” allows the lens focus ring to be used for manual focus when the camera is in autofocus mode.

Q: QuestionDoes it work on a Nikon D750? Thank you!
Asked by Kadhum.
- A:Answer The AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR Lens (20062) is compatible with the D750. However, the camera does not have a menu option to turn optical VR On/Off so the VR cannot be disabled. Using the most recent version of D750 firmware is recommended. D750 firmware, along with instructions on updating your camera's firmware, can be found here: http://downloadcenter.nikonimglib.com/en/products/175/D750.html . It's also important to note that this is a DX format lenses and therefore optimized for use on DSLRs with the smaller DX sensor. A DX lens does not transmit enough light to entirely fill the D750's FX sensor. Because of this the D750 will automatically will switch over to DX Crop Mode. In DX crop mode the D750’s largest available Image Size is reduced to 3936x2624 (approx. 10.3MP).

- A:Answer The AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR Telephoto Zoom lens can be used with the Nikon D5200 DSLR camera but does have a couple of limitations. One limitation is that the focus ring on the lens cannot be disabled when in autofocus mode. Another limitation is that Vibration Reduction (VR) cannot be switched off. Q: Questionwill it work with Nikon D7100?
Asked by paul.
- A:Answer It will work, you just won't be able to turn off the vr. I'm using it on a D7200 with the same issue. Never a problem for me as I always leave vr on.

Q: QuestionI have a Nikon D5600 DSLR with 70-300mm G ED(non VR) lens. Does Nikon 55-200mm VR ll lens better than Nikon 70-300mm G ED (non VR) lens??
Asked by Md.
- A:Answer I can't speak to the specifics of the 55-200 vs the 70-300, but unless you are planning on always using a tripod, stick with the VR lens. I have the 55-200 non VR and the 70-300 VR. I have better luck with the VR lens every time.
