  • Key Specs
    • Type of Memory (RAM): DDR4
    • Form Factor: Laptop (The type of computer the memory is configured to fit in.)
    • Speed: 2400 megahertz
    • Latency: 17 (Refers to the amount of time between the moment a memory request is initiated and the moment the request is retrieved by a processor, commonly written as a series of 4 numbers, or timings. Each timing measures the performance of the module according to a specific parameter. Generally, the lower the numbers, the faster the RAM can respond to requests.)
    • CAS Latency: 17 (Column Address Strobe (CAS) Latency refers to the number of clock cycles (for synchronous DRAM) or nanoseconds (for asynchronous DRAM) between the moment an instruction or command is initiated and the moment the data result is available. Generally, the lower the numbers, the better.)
    • Lighting Type: None
    • Memory Capacity (per Module): 8 gigabytes (Refers to the maximum amount of data that can be stored on the memory module.)
    • Memory Capacity (Total): 8 gigabytes (Refers to the maximum total amount of data that can be stored on all included memory modules.)

    • Operating System Compatibility: Windows
  • Speed
    • Memory Speed Rating: PC4-19200 (The RAM's bandwidth rating. The numbers refer to generation and transfer speed and are typically separated with a hyphen. For example, PC3-12800 would indicate that the module is 3rd generation and has a theoretical bandwidth of 12,800 megabytes per second (MBs). The higher the second number, the faster the speed.)

  • Features
    • Buffered or Registered: Unbuffered (Registered (buffered) memory modules are classified by the addition of a register between the memory controller and DRAM modules. When compared to conventional unbuffered (unregistered) memory, this type provides more stability with less electrical load on the controller, making it a common choice for use in robust applications, such as servers.)
    • Data Integrity Check: Non-ECC (Error-correcting code (ECC) memory helps to maintain data integrity within a computer system, protecting it from potential crashes as well as losses or changes to data due to undetected errors. Systems that use ECC have an additional chip on the RAM that acts as the error check.)
    • Memory Channels: Single (Multi-channel memory increases the rate of data transfer between the DRAM memory and memory controller by adding more channels of communication. The more channels, the more memory bandwidth.)
    • Lighting Type: None
    • Fan Included: false
  • Power
    • Voltage: 1.2 volts (Amount of power needed to support an electrical current.)

Q: I have an HP envy 360 with 8gb ram. Will this work with my laptop. my ram is also 2.4gh but not sure about which brand or if that matters,

A: This memory is a DDR4 module, your machine requires a DDR3 so I do not believe its compatible. Check the Crucial.com site, there is a memory checker there that will confirm your memory type (and hard drive too). Hoping this will help.

Q: SERVE FOR THIS PORTABLE COMPUTER? ACER NITRO 5 AN515-53-55G9

A: I just bought the ACER NITRO 5 AN515-53 and this memory worked perfectly.

Q: I have a Toshiba Satellite c55t-a5222 and I want to go from 4 gb memory to 8gb memory. What is compatible ?

A: I purchased this for my HP but it was not compatible. Got it at curbside pick-up and now still have it waiting to return when I can. I would advise taking your memory card out and at least looking to see If it is the same. The notch did.not line up with mine and it was a.but too long. Sorry I do not have a better answer.

Q: Im getting HP - Pavillion 16.1" Gaming Laptop - Intel Core i5 - 8GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti - 512GB SSD + 32GB Optane - Will getting two work?

A: Yes, I am very happy with mine. My suggestion is that you consider getting more memory initially. I recently added 8 GB after running out of room and experiencing software crashes. The computer is less than two years old. Adding a second storage hard drive for data is also a good idea.

Q: Is this compatible with my hp x360 model 11-n010dx The oem is DDR3L 4GB PC3L-12800 1600MHz SODIMM

A: No. If you are currently running DDR3 you will need to upgrade with same. Pins on DDR3 and DDR4 are different and will not fit physically.

Q: Will this work with Hp pavilion gaming laptop?

A: Yes if it is the right specs it should.
