My laptop has two slots and one had a 4 GB DD3 card. I was able to to open it up and add 4 GB. It now has 8 GB. I and currently looking into the ability to run to a total of 16 GB. The trick to opening it up is the two screws they hide under the hinge area. Search youtube.
