Registering with the company via the app is not the same thing as signing up for their 9.99 monthly service (annuity). You need the app to use the device. If you also want to sign up for their services you upload your readings to them and they will have their board certified physician review your readings. We did not sign up for their services as we can upload the readings to our cardiologist.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I downloaded the app and registered. There is no monthly fee.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, we had to register the unit with the company, much like anything else you buy, but we don't use the subscription. The reports do need to be saved as PDF but you can keep them on your device or print them, whichever is easier for you. They can also be emailed to your doctor or yourself for storage elsewhere.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The readout depicts an EKG very similar to the EKG that is done in the office, except its 6 leads rather that a 12 lead EKG. Save it as a PDF, then email to your physician or show it at the next appointment. It also can be printed out at home. Subscription is not needed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You do have to register through the app, but you don’t have to pay if you don’t want the subscription. The fee covers analysis of the readout by a licensed cardiologist (with a limit on the frequency and number of physician reviews). Otherwise, on the basis of non-paid (free) use of the app, you can take a reading, have it identify very basic rhythms, and print (or create a file image) them out for delivery to your doctor.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to register with the company...email address. They ask for other info, which is optional. You definitely do not have to pay, I have performed a 6 lead recording and several rhythm strips without paying, saved them as as pdf's and emailed them to myself. Also, it is easy to use it for more than one person, just change the name. At the end of the recording, it asks if that was you or a guest, and I click guest.

You should still be able to send the pdf via email to the Dr. redarlesd of the subscription. I think the subscription gives you the ability to send reports directly from the app to Drs or whomever. Again I’m not exactly sure about this. For what it’s worth I have been extremely pleased with this device - well worth the money for me to know what’s going on with my heart regarding AFIB. I don’t suggest buying the cheaper version of the Kardia. Buy the Six lead model - NOT because the six lead is all that better, but rather because the cheaper unit works better… it is not as prone to interference. Hope this is helpful… ~tw~
