A:AnswerThe instillation was supposed to be free with the purchase of the unit. I had it installed on a previous vehicle. I was impressed with the unit and service so much that I bought a second unit. The day before it was supposed to be installed however Best Buy closed their installation services due to COVID19. I was disappointed , but I respect their decision . I do feel I could have been offered an earlier date and/or some other type of compensation for my trouble.

A:AnswerAside from BB, all of the information I can find online points to capacitive—including the manufacturer's own website. In the absence of more evidence or explanation I can only conclude that the screen is capacitive and the BB advertised spec is wrong.
