This all depends on how your car stereo was developed. If you already have the Apple and Android icons showing on the stereo, even if your phone is not connected via USB cable then this unit should work well. If not then you may need to test it to see and perhaps check your hands-free settings. The adapter allows the vehicle stereo to play music and maps without a USB direct connection.
