A:AnswerMy tv did not have a cable connection, this device was able to connect to my tv to provide cable connection. And connects to my tv though an hdmi connection. So if you have an rf Connection that converts to a cable connector, then this product should work for you.
A:AnswerIn 2015 or 16 I bought a QFX motorized antenna from Ollie's for $25 (assembly required). It has 2 TV connections so I use 1 to the TV and the 2nd to a multi-splitter which connects to this Aluratek and 2 other TVs via old coax cable.
A:AnswerWhat do you mean "work with?" This unit converts outside antenna signals to work with older non digital tvs. You do not need this box IF your Element tv has a digital tuner, which 99% of modern digital tvs do. However, if you want to record one channel and watch another, this will work, not exactly as it is promoted on the box, but can be hooked up to do that but the hookup would be complicated!
A:AnswerI dont know why it isnt working. I have I unit to my old tv with antenna to rf in and rf out to the antenna in of my analog tv and it works. I also have one with the a/v to my tv and it works fine so I dont know what the problem you are having. As I said in my review its not a great unit but I have not any problems setting it up.
A:AnswerOurs is not coded for specific channels. But we cannot get it to record. We get it set up, it says it's set to record, then we can't find the recording. Even though a hard drive is inserted, it's not recognizing it. No help from Best Buy yet.
