A:AnswerYou have to download the amazon echo app and that will guide you thru everything. Google home mini setup is WAY EASIER. If you are not too good with technology, I would get the Google mini because Amazon echo has too many skills commands you need to remember
A:Answeryes, the dot can be setup through an app on a smart phone. when you plug in the dot, you use the app to connect to a temporary wireless network on the dot.
from there, you tell the dot what network to use (the wifi in your apartment) and the password to get in.
from there, it disconnects you and the dot reconnects to the wireless network in your apartment.
the only thing that the dot connects to is power. optionally, you can run a cable to a stereo receiver to play music through it, but it can play music and sounds through it's own speaker without issue.
A:AnswerWhen you configure the 2nd Echo dot on your Alexa app, they are automatically get paired. And as Alexa is smart enough to know which device to act on instructions based on voice strength.
A:AnswerYep! (well, that and a power outlet) Plus it works with Tile to find keys and phone. Also we have a dealeo that hooks to our light switch and can turn lights off and on with our voice through the Echo. Pretty cool
