A:AnswerYes the echo dot can turn lights on and off. You can also go on YouTube. I got my plugs off of marketplace cuz it was cheaper also my power strips from Amazon. I didn't do the SMART light bulbs because at the time you needed a hub. Now they have them without hubs usage. But you can also switch out your light switch in the wall but if you want to have something that's plugged up you can use the power strip or plugs.

Absolutely the Echo Dot 3rd gen would be a great gift for asking questions, listening to music, playing games like Jeopardy, but for watching Videos I would recommend The Echo show devices since those have a visual component to it.
A:AnswerI don't know. You must have internet. You can sign up with your mobile phone or on your laptop. SOME newer cars have WIFI internet. SOME phones have HOTSPOT internet. I'm guessing you can probably use it in those... but I have not tried it yet.

A:AnswerYea she can. I have several Alexa’s set up and they all take separate commands or in some instances they work together such as playing music throughout the entire house. Or making an announcement for the entire house to hear. Keep in mind they do have to be some distance apart meaning you can’t have two of them right next to each other or they will not work independently.
