Yes you can. We have dropped in on our bird. The picture is pretty clear.

You will have to set him up with an account through the Alexa App on your phone or someone that has a smart phone. You'll add his phone number to the Alexa App and he will be good to go. I have done this with my parents and it works great! Hope this helps!
