Yes you can download movies and stuff then watch later from memory stick

While this device works best when connected to Wi-Fi as many of the features do require internet connectivity to use, much of the content can be downloaded for offline use while traveling. Also, if you have a Wi-Fi hotspot feature from your wireless provider, you can always toggle that on in your phone's settings and use your phone or hotspot to connect while on the go as well.
