Since this product can interface with the Alexa systems, will Alexa give you the indoor and or outdoor temps by voice control?

Sometimes if a thermostat is replaced and not set up or wired properly it can cause heating and cooling to run at the same time. In that case, I would have a local professional look at it to make sure it's connected to the system and set properly in the thermostat configuration. An alternative is that sometimes technical support can guide you through it over the phone. I hope you get your system working again.

If the thermostat is registering and starting your heater/furnace when the temperature drops below the set temperature, then it shouldn't be a wiring issue. You may want to contact Amazon customer service to have them troubleshoot further with your specific issue and see if they can better advise you.
