A:AnswerYes! You will need a preamplifier. It will provide ample gain for dependable reception and will help overcome challenges including coaxial cables over 100 ft., the use of splitters, and weak signals. If you need help with selecting the right preamplifier for the ClearStream 4MAX, and advise on installing the amp, give us a call at 877-825-5572. We are available 7 days a week.

A:AnswerCoaxial cable is sold separately. The reason we do not include cable with our attic/outdoor antennas is that most homes will need varying lengths of coax cable, depending on how many TVs your are connecting to the antenna - you may need to terminate cable or if you need a longer coax cable, you would need to purchase a coaxial cable coupler at your local hardware store. Thank you for asking the question.
A:AnswerGoogle your area as in the Twin Cities for example Kare11 NBC uses a different type of signal than the others, makes no sense why they do, it frustrates me. I still get them with this antenna but it's a little unstable because its not a strong signal like the other channels like ABC, CBS, PBS, and others. I still get 40 channels, some being junk, but this antenna is strong; I even called their hotline and she told me where to point my antenna towards to get the maximum channels. Hope that helps but google it, and you'll probably see that one of the channels is using a different type of signal so you need to be pointing right towards their tower to get the maximum reception! When I watch the Vikings on Fox9 it's Crystal clear... KARE11 needs to improve their signal like the otherss as their customers paying for commercials are missing out on the unplugged viewers!!!
A:AnswerYes I would ground it, no specific instructions to do so, but I did.
Mounted inside good reception, outside better, but think needs to go on roof for the best.
I just swapped it out for the DirecTV satellite feed cable and mounted to side of house.
Connected to existing ground rod for electric.
I need to hire someone with a taller ladder to install on roof
A:AnswerHi, please call us so that we can perform a free signal analysis at your location, and then we can advise you on getting more channels. We are available 7 days a week at 1-877-825-5572. You can also send us a message at [email protected]. Thank you!
A:AnswerYou won't get cable. You will only get the signals coming from towers in your area. You can search something like "tv towers in my area" and find some sites to help you know which stations you might pick up. You will enter your zip code and it will display towers you may reach.
