• Not if your Square plugs in via lightning cable. This iPad has a USB-C port.

• how old is your WIFI router? If it is more then three years old check that. my daughter 2016 iPad mini still connect consistently with my wifi router. I'm using a Netgear nighthawk AX8. but this new iPad Pro work great.
