I would have to say they are the same. I was going to purchase from an Apple Store in Orlando but pulled the plug at the last minute as my firend reminded me about Best Buy....I was severely impressed with the setup, sales, support, and product knowledge and product availability at this store (Daytona Beach). Needless to say I hadnt been to a Best Buy in years, and these guys are doing everything right. I am a graphic designer and I live and breathe Mac for 40 years and these guys know what they are selling. And there are manufacturer reps all over the place. That is insane! Highly regarded purchase! enrolled in their credit card and they gave me 10% of this purchase for my next purchase. When you are buying a new system, thats adds up to a lot of apples.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It’s the same. You do have to watch the configurations. For me - I didn’t buy it at the Apple store for two reasons. Best Buy had this one on sale (saved $200) - AND where my Best Buy is located - the tax difference also saved me about $75. Identical machines. I had the same issue in figuring out the specs - the Best Buy display info is abbreviated - so I made the sales guy bring one from the back so I could read all the info off the box. He was happy to do so. So I walked away $275 less than the Apple store - was a no brainer.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.4/27/2020 I find the specs to differ slightly. The mid range model iMac, priced at $1,999.00 on both Bestbuy.com and Apple.com, have different processor speed. The one Bestbuy is currently selling has 3.5 GHz but the one on Apple.com has Turbo Boost up to 4.3 GHz.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No Difference. Best Buy is one of the few Authorized Apple resellers. Apple does maintain STRICT pricing controls though.
