Yes, I used it to replace my AT&T-installed wifi router. Had to convince the AT&T technician to disable the AT&T wifi router who said, “This may not work” and replace theirs with this AirPort Extreme, but my wifi range is much better and it works great. All the vendors want to sell you their router, but for AT&T, you don’t need it — you can use this Apple AirPort Extreme just as well. Before AT&T, I had Cox Internet and used this same AirPort Extreme connected to the Cox modem as my wifi router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, but you may have get a “bridge” router from AT&T in order for it to work. I had to get one from my ISP.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not likely to "replace" AT&T router/gateway, you will still use the AT&T piece to provide internet to the airport extreme, and if configured correctly the airport extreme will then handle all other functions of the network (DHCP server, wifi, etc..)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Apple Airport Extreme is a router and so yes it will replace the ATT router as well as most other routers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. It does not replace a router at all. Just setting up a new home office and needed a router.
