Ran a data cable from my xfinity router to the TimeCapsule. No interference or loss of speeds when connecting direct to xfinity wifi or router. Have not ran a speedtest using wifi off the time capsule.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I had to route...mine....through the router if that makes sense. I have u-verse and couldn't get it to work..... called apple and they walked me through the process step by step in about 15 minutes. I love it!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.None of my Time Capsules ever interfered with my cable router. Just plugged my Time Capsule into the router and bingo it was working as if it were directly connected to my Mac. Is your cable router also your wifi or is it just a router?
