Yes. Pages is similar to Word, Keynote is similar to PowerPoint, and Numbers is similar to Excel. These all come preinstalled on the iPad. Comparable Apps are also available in both free and "paid for" versions. The Microsoft versions of these apps are also available for iPad but cost quite a bit more than similar apps in the App Store.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The iPad comes with a simple "notes" program. However, you can get a full office suite from the Apple Store. There are all of the Microsoft Office Apps (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc). Also, Apple has iWorks which has "Pages" that is a word processor for Mac. I am using MS Word on my iPAD.
