I don't think so. Your Macbook has a Thunderbolt port, not a Lightning port.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.If the Mac that you have has an HDMI connector, you can plug it directly to one of the HDMI connections of your HDTV. I have a MacBook air, late 2013 model, and I just use a regular HDMI cable and make a direct connection to my HDTV. Don't need the Apple AV adapter. If your Mac does not have an HDMI plug/connector, then the Apple AV adapter should work, provided you have the latest software on your Mac, and, that of course you have a lightning connector in your Mac.
