I in the past I tried some other brands but always experience issue with the color, resolution, flickering or black screen. So pulled the trigger for a genuine item and that’s it. Working fine no issues. With a compatible HDMIi cable you can transfer your pictures and videos on the tv screen and share with family and friends. I used to use this to watch movies from iPad on the old TV which does not have up to date apps such as airplay. Best part is j hmm that while transferring the media you can simultaneously charge your device.

Not gonna lie, I usually don’t leave reviews, but I felt like I had to for this one because it saved me a ton of time and stress. I picked up the Lightning to Digital AV Adapter from Best Buy after wasting money on a couple sketchy ones from Amazon that either didn’t work or kept cutting out. This one actually worked right away, no issues at all. All I needed was a reliable way to get my iPhone screen on my TV — mostly for streaming workouts from apps that don’t let you AirPlay (Peloton, for example). I plugged the adapter into my phone, ran an HDMI to the TV, and everything just showed up instantly. No lag, audio came through fine, and I didn’t have to mess with any settings. It just worked, which is exactly what I needed.

Thought my 2018 television was already equipped to connect to my phone but, it wasn’t! Salesman pointed out this small cable device would do. He was correct! Connected to television easily, plugged into my iPhone and now I can watch anything from my phone apps! Only bad is the price because it is an Apple corporation product.

No need to have a separate power supply with it. This one just plain works. Also has a separate slot to add another lightning cable to allow you to power it while in use as well.

The Apple Lightning Digital A/V Adapter works perfectly for mirroring my iPhone to my TV. It delivers clear audio and video, is easy to use, and feels like a high-quality Apple product. Definitely worth the investment for presentations or streaming.

Best adaptation of a tiny little item, simply put, mind blowing

Nice and small, practical to use. Bought this instead of getting Apple TV. I already had a portable projector that I could connect to it. I like how it has an entry to charge your phone while being plugged to the HDMI at the same time that way you can charge while using it. Now I can watch anything and mirror my phone using this connected to my projector.

This is by far the best investment I ever made and it will literally show anything on your iPhone to your tv all you need is an hdmi cord and I would recommend purchasing another iPhone cord charger so you can keep your phone charged while the video plays. But I love this cord and would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to see things from your phone like Netflix Hulu HBO Starz YouTube etc. I’m saving quite a bit thanks to this wonderful cord from Apple and I love it.

This little gadget works great for viewing my iphones pictures and to stream content to my tv. Works great when I’m away from home so I can stream my sling box from home to a tv while on vacation somewhere else . Charges the phone too, w/ your own cable and power supply .- Winner!

Bottom Line: The Apple Lightning Digital A/V Adapter allows you to mirror iOS content and play videos to an HDMI display, but you might have to play roulette with the cables first. Pros: mirroring works well especially with its low latency for Apple Pencil Cons: setup not as easy as it should be, cable may not hold up well over time Review: My primary use for the adapter is to mirror my iPad Pro 9.7 content to a 1080p monitor in my office; in particular I'm annotating documents with Apple Pencil for an audience. For this purpose, the adapter works extremely well, since the wired cable provides low display latency. I was also able to stream iTunes video content without any issues (using iOS 11.4.1), although I have seen other reports of potential third party service (e.g., Netflix) compatibility issues. Unfortunately, the concrete walls in my office prohibit my use of the WiFi, so I can't test these issues myself. Setup was a bit more difficult than I think it should have been for this product. The adapter connects to your iOS Lightning port, and it has an HDMI port and female Lightning port for charging passthrough. Along with connecting the HDMI to the display, there are a few different permutations you can use to connect the cables. I initially connected 1) HDMI to display, 2) HDMI to adapter, 3) adapter to iOS device, and then 4) Lightning to adapter for charging. With this order, my monitor wouldn't read or display the signal, even though charging passthrough worked fine. After attempting some different permutations, I found the best order to be 1) HDMI to display, 2) adapter to iOS device, 3) HDMI to adapter, 4) Lightning to adapter. So, you might need to play a bit if you don't get your signal working right away. My other concern is that, once everything is connect, the adapter becomes somewhat "bottom heavy". As a result, the HDMI end of the cable is going to cause the adapter to flex underneath the male Lightning end unless you have the weight of the cable supported on a table. As many Apple users know, this is the most likely place for a Lightning cable to fray and fail over time, so there might be some long-term durability issues here.

This is a great buy little expensive but works great charges my phone while being connect I would recommend this product and there was plenty of help at Best Buy when shopping

If you need to connect an iPad or iPhone to an HDMI port, this is the way. Aftermarket options are out there, but most aren't very reliable. It's expensive comparatively...but it works.

I didn’t know that this connector existed! I just purchased and used today. It works for exactly the purpose I needed it for. I wanted to connect my tablet to my television to stream my workouts, especially for my apple fitness app. I am totally happy with it, and this is perfect for those without a smart tv or if you don’t have an Apple TV. Let’s hope it does not disappoint in the future!

Easy to use. Great for presentations on any level simple to complex including video. Plug and ply anyone can take advantage of this tool. Recommend to any level user. Added benefit watch movies and YouTube on the big screen

I'm a full-time RVer and most of the time I'm working off of my phone hotspot. That doesn't leave much data for streaming on my TV. THIS solved the problem - I hook this up to my TV and can stream Netflix till my heart's content!

Purchases APPLE Lightning dig a/v cable for linking iPad to my desk monitor via HDMI. Interface recognition between both units was immediate. No loss of visual clarity and all functions on iPad remain intact. Bluetooth stylus also remains enabled. A bit pricey for “older” model link system, but worth less aggravation searching for aftermarket compatible cables.

This product is AWESOME and FLAWLESS! It works for my iPad 8th Generation and iPhone 12 Pro Max. I bought 3 adapter (lighting to hdmi) non apple brand . Mostly didn't work from my iPhone. It was embarassing!
