• Not if you have iOS 11. Search Apple support and you’ll see that functionality was broken by the update. I bought this adapter to do exactly what you want you are talking about and I’m returning it because it won’t work.

• Yes. You can stream directly from Netflix, Amazon, etc. or watch a downloaded program. I have done both with mine.

• It will mirror your iPad, whether it’s a downloaded movie or not. Just need to connect it to an HDMI cable and youre set. It also has a lightning cable plug in.
