no. It will automatically view whatever is on your Apple device. If you don’t want to use your data, then you will just use Wi-Fi. But it is not necessary to just view the things that are already on your device.

We do not have wifi where we live. We do have internet on our phones and it works just fine. We are just using the data from our iphone wireless carrier.

Your Iphone needs to be able to connect through your data connection.
