“Got a DVD player for kiddos for my car. It says can play Netflix. I have unlimited data on phone & WiFi in my car. The installer said I need HDMI lightning adapter. I also wouldn’t have a dangling cord. Just unplug from my aux. this won’t work: what will?”

If you have an hdmi input on the car tv you don't need the DVD player. We plug this device into our iPhone and use an hdmi cable from the device to the tv. We can watch Netflix from the Netflix app on the phone

Attached this to the HDMI and now I watch Netflix in the car on my Pioneer Avic-8201nex. I wouldn’t think an AUX only would work as Aux is sound, you need to also transmit video. This HDMI lightning adapter is perfect!
