Got a DVD player for kiddos for my car. It says can play Netflix. I have unlimited data on phone & WiFi in my car. The installer said I need HDMI lightning adapter. I also wouldn’t have a dangling cord. Just unplug from my aux. this won’t work: what will? null

If you have an hdmi input on the car tv you don't need the DVD player. We plug this device into our iPhone and use an hdmi cable from the device to the tv. We can watch Netflix from the Netflix app on the phone

A DVD player is NOT compatible with the HDMI LIGHTNING ADAPTER because it is an apple product/accessory. It will ONLY work with apple devices.

This works great in my car. HDMI ran from radio into glovebox. Attached this to the HDMI and now I watch Netflix in the car on my Pioneer Avic-8201nex.

I wouldn’t think an AUX only would work as Aux is sound, you need to also transmit video. This HDMI lightning adapter is perfect!
