No. You can't have your phone hooked to the tv and wear headphones at the same time.......it won't work. You'll have to unplug your device from the wire to use your headphones.

No. Unfortunately, the audio output will only go to your television along with the video output. You can, however, AirPlay the audio to your HomePod if you have one.

Yes, The iPhone will automatically send the audio digitally over the hdmi interface.
