Yes it works, this is the same reason I bought this for. Other devices don’t let you stream but this does.

No. Has nothing to do with Hulu or Netflix. You connect to your HDMI input and it projects on the screen.

Yes, it is! It plugs directly into your hdmi port on your tv. I use it when I travel to stream shows at the hotel.
