• The Tv my husband uses is not smart and he has an iPhone X. Don’t know if that helps

• I use the lightning adapter with my iPhone 7 running 11.3.1 (15E302) Verizon into a HDMI to composite converter to my car's head unit and it mirrors just fine. The video out plays well enough.
