• I don’t believe so.Remember, this adaptor allows you to display whatever device screen you use (iPhoe, iPad, etc) contents via the HDMI cable to an output device, such as TV. I used the device to display Netflix movies played on my iPad directly into my TV. It caries video as well as sound, jus like an HDMI cable will do.
