“My daughter wants to transfer videos off her cannon t5 camera and she wants to be able to edit her videos is this laptop able to do that and if so is there a specific app that needs downloaded? We have apple phones and want to stay apple products”

I tried and couldn’t. I was told you have to buy an external USB DVD drive, or not sure what for transferring photos. I was only able to see pics I saved on a USB, but not transfer directly from my cannon camera.
