“I know this a very stupid question, but by them saying “latest model” do they mean mid 2017 model or latestest update”

• Best Buy is specifically referring to the model as a whole (mid-2017). It should come with High Sierra installed, but it may not be the latest update. Mine came with 10.13.2 and had an update for 10.13.3 available. The update is free, though.
