A:AnswerIt should work with anything that has a USB port. You may need to buy a usb a to c cord if you only have usb-c inputs. It would have to have a female usb-a
A:AnswerHaven’t tried myself, but Apple indicates “yes”.
“ If your Mac has a built-in optical drive, or if you connect an external DVD drive (for example, an Apple USB SuperDrive), you can permanently store or burn files to CDs and DVDs to share your files, move files between computers, or create backup files.”
A:AnswerNot sure if that port provides enough power to run the drive. If it does then you would have to worry about bumps on the road causing your dvds to skip. Although the buffer could keep ahead of that. (not 100% sure on the skipping I have not used a dvd in a while) You might be better off with a USB thumb drive and put you media on that.
A:AnswerI have no idea, since I still have the need to use macOS Catalina. I would call Support for Mac, and I'm sure they can answer those questions.
A:AnswerHey NSal, I have a 2016 MacBook Pro and all I had to do to get this to work with it was to use a USB-A to USB-C dongle. Once you plug this USB SuperDrive into your computer, it should allow you to play basically any video file found on the disk. Hope this helps!

A:AnswerYes, as it is just a disc drive. The resolution of the monitor in the MacBook should have no cause to stop the drive from working. The problem would come from what type of media you are trying to read as the drive will not read blu-Ray discs that are higher resolution multi layer discs.
