• I know the watch can be link to the iPhone XR, however if I’m not mistaken, you need to have a cellular plan for the watch if you want to use it without your phone near it. Please don’t quote me in that tho because I’m not 100% sure. When I was looking for my watch, I inquired about the cellular feature and that’s what I was told.

• It can. But you have to sign up for an additional cellular plan for your Apple Watch.
