If you subscribe to VoIP service, such as Comcast's XFINITY Voice or Vonage, then a separate voice modem is required. If you use a traditional land line, then you would need to connect it to directly to the wall outlet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately if your provider is also providing the VOIP (phone) then you are stuck using their equipment. I would move to vonage if you want your own equipment.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Get a router.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You would need to buy a cable modem with a telephone jack. This product does not support the telephone feature.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This modem will not connect to the phone lines. It is only an issue if you are getting your phone service through your cable company. I switched to Vonage for my phone, so this modem works fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There are fewer choices of modems for cable internet and phone service all in one device. The only approved retail device for cable internet and phone in one that I know of is the Arris Tm722g, and it is listed as approved for Comcast service.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your cable provider should be able to provide a separate device, or you could go with a service like Vonage that provides its own device that connections to your network after your cable modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is NOT the product for you. This is a hybrid cable/fiber modem product and must connect to a broadband cable service provider. What you need is a DSL modem or an ISDN modem that will connect to your phone line and provide up to 128Kb/sec internet service. OR, you can fall back to a standard telephone modem which will or should or can provide up to 56kb/sec service. These will not connect to a cable company but to an Internet Service Provider that supports dial-in services. [Verizon, sprint, MCI, etc.]
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.what you described sounds like a dsl line. this is a cable modem. do not get a cable modem for dsl internet. buy a cable modem for cable internet. buy a dsl modem for dsl internet. i would call your service provider for a list of devices that will work on their network. do not be stubborn and think one thats not on their list will work. it wont.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. These routers do not require a phone connection. If you need to connect to a phone jack for internet for a DSL type connection, you will need to purchase a DSL modem. This specific modem is ment for cable connection only.
