That depends on what you're trying to do. If you're only connecting a single computer and don't want / need wireless, then no. If you want to hook up several computers I would suggest getting something that will allow you to make the kind of connections you need. I have a Netgear Wireless N 3500 router which works great for my wired and wireless connections.
