“IS IT NORMAL TO HEAR A CRACKLING SOUND? I hear a crackling sound to the right of touch pad when pc is working, is this normal? Almost seems like it's having a difficult time. The Model is a new Asus "X555". Thanks”

• Any strange noise in any computer should be brought to the attention of the place where it was purchased. Hint.....Geek squad would be able to help you, and if the sound is normal, at least you will have peace of mind. If, however, it is not normal they will fix it.

• the crackling sound is probably a sign of a bad hard drive. I would suggest having it replaced under warranty.

• Same model. You can tell when it turns on, just a normal, quiet sound, no crackling.
