• Yes, directions are unclear due to different model information in the user guide. One instruction says the battery should only be removed by authorized ASUS technician and another location in the manual says to be sure to recycle it if you replace battery. It depends on the model. My guess is that it can be replaced by anyone but you have to make sure you have the correct replacement to avoid injury.
