QuestionWhat is the build quality of this laptop? Is the material on the front around the keyboard and touchpad made of plastic or a type of metal? The page for the 536fd makes it look like its some kind of brushed metal, but neither one clearly specifies.

- Answer I am not sure if what material it is made of specifically. However, the stick on the laptop states, "U.S. Military Grade Quality." My experience is if that is the case, I would usually seen a ASTM specification but it doesn't state that. So perhaps it is a marketing ploy.

- Answer It is not an answer, but specific question, based on your unfortunate experience - I also failed to find specific information about the exact characteristics of the drives inside. I want to upgrade, but don't know what to buy. One option is to upgrade with normal SATA drives on both places. Are both drive slots identical? Is there physical place to install normal SATA SSD on the 128Gb place? Other option is to try to upgrade with M2 on both places - But, can I install NVMe M2 SSD in both drive 1 and drive 2? Thanks a lot!

- Answer Please ignore the ASUS comment on replacing the charger. My laptop is not even 3 months old and they do not honor anything in their warranty. After seeing this comment by ASUS I reached out to their customer support that then said I have to fill out an RMA form. Ship in the charger, and ONLY if they find something wrong with it. It is very frustrating customer service. When I quoted the above answer from ASUS the ASUS customer service representative said, "no, it has to be shipped in for repairs."
